California

Strengthens the California Equal Pay Act by: clarifying what constitutes “wages;" harmonizing the statute of limitations with other wage and anti-discrimination statutes; allowing workers to recover more of their lost pay; revising outdated gender binary language; and requiring employers include “good faith” estimates of expected wage ranges in public job postings.

Michigan

STATUS: Enacted

A 2024 Michigan Supreme Court decision reestablished the original version of this law as adopted in 2018. The law gradually raises the minimum wage to $12/ hour by 2028, and gradually increases the minimum tipped wage to match the minimum wage by 2029.

Massachusetts

This law requires employers with 25 or more employees to include the pay range in any job posting. It also requires employers with 100 or more employees to file federal EEO reports with the state.

This law requires employers with 30 or more employees to include wage ranges and a description of benefits in job postings.

Maryland

This law requires employers to disclose wage range and benefits in job postings and to applicants. Employers are also required to set wage ranges in good faith.

Mississippi
