This bill amended the California Equal Pay Act to provide that prior salary could not, by itself, justify any disparity in compensation under the bona fide factor exception under the Act. (Note: In 2017, AB 168 further amended the California Equal Pay Act to provide that prior salary cannot justify any wage differential under the Act.)
