This law extends protections against all forms of harassment to contractors, consultants, and others who are contracted to directly perform services fo the employer. It also provides that as of January 1, 2020, all Illinois employers are required to provide sexual harassment prevention training to their employees every year, regardless of the size of the company. Finally, as of July 1, 2020, it requires hotels and casinos to adopt anti-sexual harassment policies along with providing the panic buttons to certain employees. It also prohibits retaliation against an employee for using a panic button or filing a complaint under the sexual harassment policies.
