This law prohibits employment discrimination on the basis of survivor status, and requires employers to provide related leave and reasonable accommodations.

This law prohibits employment discrimination against survivors of domestic violence, sexual violence, and other forms of gender violence. Employees are entitled to unpaid leave for reasons related to their survivor status or the survivor status of a family or household member. Employers with 50 or more employees are required to provide up to 12 weeks of leave; employers with 15-49 employees must provide 8 weeks; employers with 14 or fewer employees must provide 4 weeks. Leave may be taken intermittently. Employers may request certain forms of supporting documentation. Employers must provide reasonable workplace accommodations to survivors if requested.
