Maine state anti-discrimination law

The Maine Human Rights Act prohibits discrimination based on sex (including pregnancy, childbirth, or related medical conditions) and sexual orientation (including gender identity and gender expression). Harassment based on a protected characteristic constitutes unlawful discrimination under the Act. The Act covers all public and private employers, regardless of size.
