STATUS: Enacted

Imposes a civil penalty on employers who have violated the Equal Pay for Equal Work Law.

This law authorizes the Commissioner of Labor and Industry or a court to require an employer to pay a civil penalty equal to 10% of the amount of damages owed by the employer for violating the Equal Pay for Equal Work Law. These civil penalties shall be paid to the General Fund of the State to offset enforcement costs.
