STATUS: Enacted

Prohibits certain nondisclosure agreements in settlements involving the payment of public funds.

The law applies to settlement agreements for claims of sexual harassment or sexual assault against the state, a state agency, a political subdivision, or an employee or officer of the state, where public funds are used to satisfy the terms of the settlement. It prohibits provisions in such agreements that prevent the employee from disclosing the underlying facts and terms of the claim.
