This law requires employers with more than 50 employees to provide 3 days of unpaid leave to employees who are survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, or stalking. Reasons for taking leave may include to seek or obtain a protective order, medical services, counseling, safe housing, legal assistance, or to participate in court proceedings. Employee should provide reasonable notice of leave and exhaust other forms of leave before using leave for this purpose, unless the employer specifies otherwise.
