The pay increases approved by City Council apply to city employees including the finance department; fire and rescue; the Mayor’s office, municipal court; planning, engineering and permits; police and corrections and; public works. The total funding for this hazard pay initiative was $500,000 for a month of pay increases. The city is discussing strategies for reimbursement from the federal government.
