This law requires employers to provide leave to survivors of domestic violence for reasons associated with that status.

This law requires employers to provide 14 days (up to 8 hours) of paid or unpaid leave for employees who are survivors of domestic violence. Reasons for taking leave may include to seek or obtain a court order, legal assistance, domestic violence services, or to participate in court proceedings. Employees must give 24 hours prior notice of leave. Employers may request documentation of reasons for leave, and must keep this documentation confidential.
