This bill amends South Dakota's Human Relations Act to also cover interns.

This bill adds protections for interns (defined as “a student or trainee who works, sometimes without pay, at an organization, industry, trade, or occupation in order to gain work experience or earn academic credit”) under the South Dakota Human Relations Act which prohibits discrimination because of race, color, creed, religion, sex, ancestry, disability or national origin.
