The Cherokee County Board of Commissioners has authorized three months of hazard pay for frontline workers.

The Board has secured hazard pay for public safety members of the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, Fire & Emergency Services and Marshal’s Office. Employees with an “elevated risk” of exposure to COVID-19 will receive an additional $250 per month and those with a “significantly elevated risk” will receive an additional $500 monthly.
