Requires employers of 5 or more employees to provide sexual harassment prevention training to supervisors and employees, as specified.

Existing California law required employers with 50 or more employees to provide at least 2 hours of sexual harassment prevention training to supervisory employees once every two years. This bill expanded the law to require an employer who employs 5 or more employees, including temporary or seasonal employees, to provide at least 2 hours of sexual harassment training to all supervisory employees and at least one hour of sexual harassment training to all nonsupervisory employees by a specified date, and once every 2 years thereafter, as specified. The law also requires the Department of Fair Employment and Housing to develop and post onine 1-hour and 2-hour online training courses on the prevention of sexual harassment in the workplace and to make the training courses, as well as existing informational posters and fact sheets, available in specified alternate languages.
