Alaska state anti-discrimination law

The Alaska Human Rights Law prohibits discrimination in employment on the basis of sex, marital status, changes in marital status, pregnancy, or parenthood when the reasonable demands of the position do not require a distinction based on a protected characteristic (AK Stat. Sec. 18.80.010 et seq.). The Alaska Supreme Court has ruled that sexual harassment is unlawful discrimination under the Alaska Human Rights Law (French v. Jadon, Inc., 911 P.2d 20 (AK 1996)).
