This law allows victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, human trafficking, or abuse of an elder or a dependent adult to terminate a tenancy without penalty given that they provide proper documentation.

This bill extended provisions for domestic violence survivors to break their leases without penalty to sexual assault survivors.

This law both prohibits housing discrimination on the basis of a tenant's status as a domestic abuse survivor and requires landlords to change the locks at the survivor's request.
